Basically, there are about five fictional, otherworldly creatures that I'm interested in. Vampires. Nephilim. Faeries (that's how grown-ups spell fairies, folks). Werewolves. Gods (of Greek myths).
If you were to ask me to pick a book from the shelves of an MPH, my choice would have one or two of the above. Maybe a book about vampires warring with werewolves. Or vampires falling in love with humans. Twilight series recalled unpleasantly into mind there. Point is, I wouldn't buy a book about normal human beings. NEVAH. It would be a waste of someone's money (I would never buy a book with my own money hahaha).
OK I'm getting sidetracked here.
I used to live and breathe vampires. Why wouldn't I? I have fangs! That's a jab at myself see, supposed to portray me as someone who's not afraid to laugh at herself. My teeth are perfectly nice. Now I have a new favourite creature! Nephilim! A nephilim is half-human, half-angel. Like the dhampirs of the Vampire Academy series, half-human half-vampire, nephilim are gifted with superstrength superspeed supereyesight supermetabolism supereverything sugar spice and everything nice. I haven't read enough nephilim books to determine any patterns, but the ones I've read has ridding the world of demons as a reason for their existence. A bit more selfless than vampires there. Besides, the vampires' diet was getting to me. And I'd pick live creatures over the undead thank you very much. Tiba-tiba ada prinsip hidup sebegini. Dulu gile betul.
The contributing factor towards my love for this particular kind of half-breeds was the recent discovery of a new series, Mortal Instruments. It has nephilim, vampires, werewolves, and faeries in it. What more can I say? But of course, the nephilim were the main heroes. And heroes they were. OK I'll just cut the crap.
The main character's hot! :-))
Jace Morgensen/Wayland/Lightwood. His identity was a bit of a muddle at first see. In the third book he was known as Jace Lightwood. Described as beautiful, with fair hair and scars all over the place, I can't exactly picture him in my mind but I'll take the author's word for it. Scars? Reminds me of someone..
No, the attractiveness does not lie in his looks. It lies in his attitude. His smart mouth had me gaping in amazement. How can someone be so sarcastic and witty and where did he get those comebacks?!! (Smart mouth? Reminds me of someone..) Fuh. Penat aku bersemangat. Faham tak bagaimana saya cinta terhadap series ni? Ke nak tunjuk gambar air liur meleleh baru paham? Eheh. OK dah pening. Bye.
