A new piece of technology that I can place on my lap. Yes. I didn't know I was going to get it this soon, seeing as tertiary education is about two weeks away. But I am filing no complaints!, though pleasantly shocked when Adam dumped it on my bed two days ago.
My parents, aren't the type to produce a present and say, "Tadaah! A present from us!" and expect me to tearfully and gushingly thank them. No they are not. Embarrassing displays of emotion are usually met (or not met, lol) with averted eyes and awkward silence. They'd leave whatever they're giving me on the coffee table and if I happen to walk by, SURPRISE! Screams the mute object. I received my handphone in this manner and would have received the laptop as such too if not for the fact that I failed to notice it at all. LOL. Adam, after playing chess on said laptop (siot je!) for some time, was directed to deliver it to my room. Very unceremonious. Whatever that means.
I think I'm gonna do the same to my children. The shock is very nice to remember afterwards. Maybe sembunyi bawah tudung saji ke. Haha.
