Introduced, and had taken effect since the 9th of January 2010.
I'm sure Mother Nature is benefiting considerably from this move, yes.. But I'm not. In fact, I'm suffering losses, in terms of volume of saliva in my possession.
I had to repeat "Hari ni beg plastik kena bayar ye, sebab hari Sabtu ada kempen tanpa beg plastik" tu almost every customer I served from 10 am till 1.30 pm. Ok itu takpe lagi. Tak kisah banyak mana pun. Yang tak tahan, the customers that narrowed their eyes at me and went so far as to hint that the 20 cent charged per bag will go into my own pocket. And that I'll buy a Snickers bar with the money. (Kay itu tipu) What the..
Oy! I'm just the cashier,.. This is not my bleedin' fault! Fine, you didn't know. Fine, you were taken by surprise. Fine, you dumped lots of stuff into the trolley. Fine, you didn't bring your own bags. Fine, you'll probably part with RM1, just for the plastic bags. Uhh.. at which part do I come into blame exactly? Okay sudah tenang.
